bernieke's projects - Mini-Z racetrack

This is a 4.1m by 3.6m racetrack for 1/27 scale (Mini-Z) RC cars.

It features a banked turn, bridge, tunnel and ramps.

Decorated with felt grass, trees and shrubs.

As well as working street lights and go-lights.

It is constructed on top of OSB panels and 3mm MDF. The surface is lasercut from some cheap EVA foam puzzle mats meant for home fitness flooring. And the raised elements were built from some leftover 6mm and 9mm MDF.

The lower half consists of 7 boxes which can be turned over and stored on top of the other half, resulting in a raised platform.
