At the time a sous vide would've cost me about 400 euro to buy retail.

The rice cooker set me back 30 euro, the thermostat 25 and the junction box was around 5 euro.

A 340 euro discount for about two hours work seems like more than a fair deal to me...

When I got my laser cutter later on, I replaced the junction box with a nicer lasercut enclosure.
